I'm Bonface Maithya, a design engineer based in Kenya.
What I actually do:
I bring to live broken interfaces not only visually, but also functionally. I
design with code and code with
design in mind. While most designers can't code and most developers avoid design, I live at the
intersection
of
both.
While others debate aesthetics, I'm delivering pixel-perfect, high-performing UIs. ARIA compliance?
That's not a nice-to-have — it's a standard I live by.
I thrive on solving complex UI challenges, beating tight deadlines, and exceeding expectations. I
believe the best work happens through collaboration, and I'm always ready to bring ideas to
life — beautifully and effectively.
When I'm not building interfaces, you'll find me painting, catching up on anime, or getting lost in
the
world of F1 and football.

I'm passionate about building for the web — from designing visually striking interfaces to
developing scalable, reliable back-end systems. My journey as a designer and developer spans the
full digital stack. Whether prototyping in Figma, exploring modern front-end tools, or working with
APIs and databases, I'm always learning, evolving, and pushing creative boundaries.

I enjoy creating fast, accessible user interfaces with modern tools like React and
Next.js. What drives me is continuously learning and applying best practices in
performance, clean UI architecture, and thoughtful user experience.
